IEC STANDARD MOTOR (HV)
Description
Hyosung's IEC standard motors feature excellent insulation systems and strict process controls and quality management that allow for a low vibration and noise structure design. Its double cage rotor structure and special varnish finishing, as well as international standards (e.g., IEC, NEMA, and IEEE), allow the motor to run perfectly under various load conditions including a condition with a wide moment of inertia.

R&D
As well as designing the next-generation technology, Hyosung is continuously developing its own technology based on the evolving equipment. We create an optimized design using a magnetic field analysis program which models factors such as magnetic flux distribution, torque-speed, and magnetic flux distribution in the air gap. In addition, the structure analysis is performed through ANSYS or NASTRAN which calculates effects from the structural motors can be operated with appropriate speed while meeting customer's specifications

EXPLOSION-PROOF MOTOR(HV)
Description
Hyosung's explosion-proof motor is a special self-protective motor which does not ignite due to an external explosion in highly-explosive areas and endures explosion pressures that occur from the inside of its container.
Ex d
The container endures internal explosion pressure when explosive gas explodes or steam causes a large pressure increase. In addition, the motor is structured to protect from external explosive gas or steam that may enter through the joints or openings.
Ex p
The protective gases's pressure is maintained at a higher level than the external environment to create an explosion-proof structure that protects the motor from external influence.
Ex e
This motor has a mechanically and electrically enhanced safety structure against temperature increases for preventing an electrical spark and arc, which can act as an igniter for the explosive gas or steam in operation.
